I thought of kicking off a series of "Must-have Medical Apps" for your PDA as it would be useful for doctors starting off with their new PDA or Smartphone.
PalmOS or PPC platforms welcome. Perhaps we'll start off for those of you in General Practice or General Medicine.
Please add your suggestions in this forum

I use Yomi's Anatomy Charts. It's pretty inexpensive and makes for a simple and easy to use reference.

You can learn more about it by Visiting This Link.

Harrisons Manual of Medicine - very comprehensive and exactly the same as the paperback version

Epocrates
Pdr by Skscape
(Because Epocrates is so unstable, and a drug compendium is so important, you should have both.)
pTunes
(Because so many medical podcasts are available.)
Docuements To Go
(the best PDF reader for the Palm)
ABCLabData by Skyscape
(a compendium of lab tests)
CK Diet Diary
(a listing of the calorie value of foods)
MerckMedicus Mobile
(free, includes Merck Manual, and updates news wirelessly)

I've started off the Must Have Apps for General Medicine here:
http://palmdoc.net/?page_id=1009

I'll be also creating pages for Med students and the different major specialties. Your comments and suggestions welcome here.

As for me, many are not exactly medical softwares, but they contribute a lot to my daily ward work and activities:

Skyscape 5MCC and 5MPeds --Good reference texts, but at times not very practical in local settings
iSilo --For viewing medical e-texts, eMedicine clipped from the website (using iSiloX), and some ebooks during on call time!
PhatNotes --To organize all my notes and "clinical pearls", and synchronize with my PC
PhatPads --Jot down notes during rounds, or even investigation results traced over the phone; also useful during CME sessions, to briefly jot down important points
ListPro--Make my life more organized by listing down tasks or projects to be done
PocketSlides --Prepare my slides for PowerPoint presentation at the departmental CME
PocketInformant--Indispensible PIM tool to keep track of all the daily to-dos and appointments

Last but not least -- SpriteBackup-- I wont want all my preciousss to go missing when my PPC crashes for whatever reason! ;)
